How to Make a Gang Sheet: Step-by-Step

Step 1: Decide Your Design Sizes

Before laying out your gang sheet, know the final printed size you need for each design. Common sizes:

• Full front chest: 11" x 13"
• Left chest logo: 3" x 3" to 4" x 4"
• Sleeve print: 3" x 10"
• Back print: 12" x 14"

Having your sizes defined upfront makes the layout process much faster.

Step 2: Set Up Your Canvas

Open your design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or any tool that supports custom canvas sizes). Create a new canvas matching your gang sheet dimensions — for example, 22" wide x 24" tall at 300 DPI.

Use a transparent background. DTF transfers print the design only, not the background, so a transparent canvas ensures clean edges around your designs.

Step 3: Place Your Designs

Import each design file and arrange them on the canvas. A few tips:
